Dr. Don Sunukjian serves as a teacher for Leader Formation. He is also the Professor of Preaching, and Chairman of the Department of Christian Ministry & Leadership, at Talbot School of Theology, on the campus of Biola University, La Mirada, California. Prior to coming to Talbot, Don served 14 years as senior pastor of churches in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Austin, Texas, and also taught preaching for 10 years at Dallas Theological Seminary. With doctorates in theology (Dallas Seminary) and communication (UCLA), he brings both scholarship and experience to his classroom.

Don has written for both biblical commentaries and preaching books. He is the author of Invitation to Biblical Preaching, a major homiletic textbook, and three volumes of biblical expositions covering Philippians, James, and the life of Jacob. Until recently, in addition to his ministry at Talbot, he also served as pastor of the Armenian Christian Fellowship of Orange County.

His leisure activities include walking the piers of California with his wife Nell, and together enjoying their growing family of five children and eighteen grandchildren.
